Two years ago, my life was a little different. As a new mom, I was craving more for my life as a working mom. After my firstborn, I had made the decision to jump ALL IN to my photography business. I invested a lot of money in trainings, equipment and offered free sessions, which took a lot of time away from my husband and new baby. While I loved photography, as a new mom, it wasn’t the lifestyle that fit me at that time. Entrepreneurship is something I am familiar with, as my father has his own business. I saw the freedom that it provided in making your own schedule and he was able to be there for me and my siblings school and sporting events.

Fast forward to 3 years later, I came across an opportunity in the beauty industry. I struggled to LOVE my curly hair for the majority of my life. You would typically see my hair down when it was wet, but once it dried, it was up in a bun, braid or ponytail. If you are reading this, and have curly hair, can you relate? I was never able to find products that gave me the results that gave me a confidence I was desperately after. After the first wash, I instantly fell in love. I am now able to work towards creating a life of time and financial freedom, helping others fall in love with their hair & guiding other women to find their purpose and take control of the life they want.

A typical day of mine involves supporting busy NPs and PA’s in our local cancer hospital, then clocking out and spending the rest of my day playing outside with my three babies & hubby, all while fitting work into the nooks and crannies of my life at home. What is your hair routine?

Weekly Rejuveniqie oil treatments (2 years strong) - In Shower: Purifying Scalp Scrub, Advanced Hydrating Conditioner, Bond Repair Masque, Smoothing Conditioner. Post Shower: Rejuvabeads Split End Mender, Combine Instant Restyle Taffy, Flexible Hold Gel & finish with Moxie Mousse. I air dry about 80-90% and diffuse on low heat.

How do you fit Monat into your busy schedule?

I listen to my audible on my drive in to the office, I utilize my lunch breaks and share content on social media. I take content photos while the kids are eating dinner, or playing beside me. I stay up late long after the kids have gone to bed. This is all temporary to help get me to my end goals.

I use Lightroom APP on my phone, and I purcahsed LR presents that fit my style, which is a more moody vs light/airy.

How do you show up everyday?

I want to succeed at this bad enough that its not an option to NOT show up. I have goals, and I cannot accomplish those if I don't show up. Being consistent has been the most important part of showing up. Even on days I dont want to, I know I need to.
